New Buffalo
When I woke up this morning and watched the sun rise outside,
I decided I would write a poem to tell you about this town where I reside.
An hour or two ride to the windy city called Chicago,
Is easy from this Harbor Country location called New Buffalo.
Why do I love this town? Here are four simple reasons,
Summer, autumn, winter, spring -- all of the four seasons.
In the summer, running down to the beach and jumping into the lake,
In the autumn, it's the fallen leaves that I love to rake,
Throwing snow balls in the winter is the greatest thing,
Just like riding my bike in the spring.
I could go on, I'm not through yet,
But outside my window the sun has begun to set.
Upon the horizon lay a collection of colors so bright,
Reflecting on the peaceful waters of Lake Michigan again tonight.
